Jim Park is a native of Kilbarchan, Scotland, and his passage from Scotland to Albuñuelas in Spain has crossed oceans and continents.
He has travelled – and painted – widely, and has found homes in Menorca, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Libya and Germany, before moving to the beautiful Lecrin Valley in 2003. He chose this stunning corner of Andalucia for it’s never ending source of inspiration – glorious landscapes, sleepy villages, and the magic of the fiery flamenco.
Jim has painted “as long as I can remember”, winning, as a 12 year old, a prestigious junior scholarship to the Glasgow School of Art. His paintings can be found in private collections world-wide, with a particularly strong following in the United Kingdom. His exhibitions include the following:
1992 saw the opening of Jim’s own very successful gallery in York, JIM PARK & Friends. He now lives and works in Albuñuelas, where his paintings may be seen in his private gallery.
